Product data sheet Rev. 4 — 8 April 2015 36 of 107 NXP Semiconductors PCA2117 Automotive LCD driver for character displays The VLCD pins (VLCDOUT, VLCDSENSE, VLCDIN) can be connected, whether VLCD is generated internally or supplied from external. An external capacitor of 300 nF minimum is recommended for VLCD. For high display loads, 1 F is suggested. VDD1 and VDD2 from 2.5 V to 5.5 V. Values for tr and Cb, see Table 52. VDD1 and VDD2 can be connected to the same power supply. VSS1 to VSS3 can be connected to the same ground supply. Fig 16.
