253 / 467 page  DocID14587 Rev 14 253/467 RM0016 8-bit basic timer (TIM4, TIM6) 261 19 8-bit basic timer (TIM4, TIM6) 19.1 TIM4, TIM6 introduction The timer consists of an 8-bit auto-reload up-counter driven by a programmable prescaler. It can be used for time base generation, with interrupt generation on timer overflow. TIM6 is implemented with the clock/trigger controller for timer synchronization and chaining.
