30 / 149 page  Dedicated Digital Signal Processor (DSP) STV82x7 30/149 4.6.2 Bass Management Configuration 1 Configuration 1, shown in Figure 14, assumes that all five speakers are not full range and that all of the bass information will be redirected to and reproduced by a single subwoofer. This configuration is intended for use with 5 satellite speakers. To prevent signal overload, the five main channels are attenuated by 15 dB, while the LFE channel is attenuated by 5dB to maintain the proper mixing ratio.
