The resolution of AW9163 SIGMA-DELTA CDC is 12Bit. The CDC module transports the capacitive sample

to DSP(digital filter, key judge function) and store the key status to register.

The capacitive sensitivity can be adjusted by REXT resistance. The bigger the REXT value, the higher the

sensitivity. The default is 10K

GCR.SENE=0 can reset all capacitive touch detection circuit. When GCR.SENE=1, the SLPR register control

the enable/disable of every channel. SLPR.SLPx=1 will disable the x channel and save the consumption.

9.5.1

Key Status

AW9163 can detect 6-channel touch key and the key status can be read by register KEYST (0x31).

AW9163 supports the adjacent suppression function, identify and output the most likely key when multiple

keys touch on the same time. Using the adjacent suppression function need set the register AKSCR (0x07)

and select the keys.

Touching keys can generate the interrupt and the key interrupt can be selected by setting register KINTER

(0x03). The interrupt mode is decided by KINTER.KIMD register.

interrupt generates when key release;

interrupt generates when key status change;

interrupt generates when key status is 1.

The INTN pin will be pulled to GND when interrupt generates. The interrupt status can be clear by reading the

Gesture Status

AW9163 with gesture detection function can identify the slide and click(single, double and triple click). The

gesture module will report interrupt when detecting the setting gesture. It will save the external MCU

consumption and improve the usability.

SLIP

SLIP detects the finger moving on control panel. When finger moves on touch keys, the capacitive change of

key can be detected one by one. The gesture module can identify the order of touch key and judge the slide

gesture.
