Maximum Allowable Current for Various Current to ADE9112 and ADE9113 Spacings CRYSTAL OSCILLATOR/EXTERNAL CLOCK The ADE9103/ADE9112/ADE9113 requires either an external digital clock signal or a crystal for operation. A digital clock signal is routed to the XTALIN pin to clock the ADE9103/ADE9112/ADE9113. The XTALOUT pin is left floating when XTALIN is provided an external digital clock source. The requirements for external digital clock source frequency, duty cycle, and voltage levels are provided in Table 2. When a crystal is used as the clock source for the ADE9103/ ADE9112/ADE9113, attach the crystal and the ceramic capacitors, with capacitance of C1 and C2, as shown in Figure 43. It is not recommended to attach an external feedback resistor in parallel to the crystal. Figure 43. Crystal Circuitry |
